Air Antilles has added a 28th destination to its flight schedule – from St John’s, Antigua to Barbados. Speaking on this new development for the airline, Romain Hordel, commercial and marketing director at Air Antilles, confirmed that the airline “is thrilled to be flying into the destination and looks forward to servicing Antiguans and travellers to Antigua for the long-haul”. He also reiterated that this was all a part of the airline’s commitment to uniting the Caribbean across all cultures and language barriers. “This is the culmination of our strategy to include what we think is one of the most crucial gateways in the northern part of the Caribbean-island chain. Therefore, this additional service out of St John’s has been a highly anticipated move on our part to
amplify our network and subsequent connectivity for travellers across the English-speaking Caribbean.”
From last week, flights out of St John’s will include a twice weekly direct service to Barbados; a three- times weekly direct to St Maarten; twice weekly flights each to Martinique and Guadeloupe via St Maarten; and twice weekly flights each to Dominica and St Lucia via Barbados. This winter season will also see the return of regular services on Air Antilles to Barbados, Dominica and St Lucia, reopening connections to the non-English speaking gateway destinations of Aruba, Curaçao, St Martin and St Maarten, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe and Martinique. Hordel also confirmed that the airline has also increased its fleet to 16 aircraft. (PR)
